Governor Fubara: ‘My one year in office better than their eight years’
Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has boldly proclaimed his administration’s significant strides in infrastructure development, comparing his one-year tenure favorably to the eight-year reign of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Andoni section of the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo Unity Road project in Ngo Town, Andoni Local Government Area, Governor Fubara emphasized the remarkable progress achieved in infrastructure projects within his first year in office. He asserted that his administration has outperformed Wike’s eight-year tenure in terms of project execution.
Governor Fubara pledged to continue prioritizing infrastructure development, promising additional projects to benefit the people of Rivers State.
Addressing his critics and political adversaries, Fubara maintained his confident stance, declaring, “We just started about three or four months ago, but I am very pleased that within this short period, our accomplishments surpass those who held office for eight years. I am open to any challenges to this assertion.”
It is noteworthy that Governor Fubara’s tenure has not been without controversy, as he has recently clashed with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Despite facing opposition, Fubara remains resolute in his commitment to governance.
Earlier in the week, the governor boasted of overcoming his political foes, asserting that they now live in a state of unease, unable to rest peacefully.
Governor Sim Fubara’s assertion of surpassing his predecessor’s accomplishments within his first year in office underscores his administration’s dedication to driving progress and development in Rivers State. As political tensions continue to simmer, Fubara remains steadfast in his resolve to deliver on his promises to the people.
