Gov. Fubara Declares: Those Fighting me Aim to Seize my Red Biro, But Divine Victory Prevails

Rivers State Governor, Sir Similanayi Fubara, remains steadfast in the face of opposition, declaring that those challenging him seek to strip him of his signatory authority represented by the red biro, a symbol of his executive power.

Speaking at the crossover church service at St Paul’s Archdeaconry Parish in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Governor Fubara expressed resilience in providing quality leadership despite attempts to hinder progress. He emphasized that the ongoing crisis wouldn’t deter him from successfully steering the affairs of the state.

“What they want is this red biro, but it is still with me. We are the winners because we are still signing with the red biro. As long as we are signing with the red biro, development will continue in Rivers State,” Governor Fubara declared.

He assured the people of Rivers State that nothing would impede his administration’s journey, as its foundation is rooted in a solid commitment to God, who, he believes, will provide the grace to complete the development agenda.

Expressing gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly intervention in restoring peace in Rivers State, Fubara affirmed the state’s genuine support for the President, acknowledging that their collective success is intertwined.

Governor Fubara thanked Rivers people for their unwavering support and urged them to trust in the decisions he makes for the betterment of the state.

In the sermon, Bishop Emmanuel Oko-Jaja focused on the 2024 theme, “I will never forget you,” assuring that God would restore Nigeria to its expected glory and stable economy. The Bishop emphasized God’s commitment to those who trust in Him, promising providence, guidance, and promotion, keeping them away from confusion and wandering spirits.
