In a compelling address at the 15th convocation ceremony of Redeemer’s University, Ede, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, delivered an inspirational message to the graduands. Represented by Pastor Olukoya Pitan, Chairman of the institution’s Board of Trustees, Pastor Adeboye urged the graduates to offer their first fruits to God as a path to prosperity.
During the ceremony held at the university’s campus in Ede, Adeboye emphasized the significance of maintaining a strong connection with God and the institution as they venture into the world. He encouraged the graduating students to be exemplary ambassadors of Redeemer’s University and to cultivate relationships that would propel them towards their desired goals.
Pastor Adeboye underscored the importance of faith and devotion, stating, “To the graduating students, I congratulate you very warmly. As you exit from the university, don’t allow the world and its allurements to lead you away from the fear of God; practice godliness. Be a lover of God and His word, and remember that all things answer to prayer if rightly done.”
He further emphasized the concept of giving to God, noting, “God is the rewarder; give Him your first fruits, tithe, and offering; nothing can hinder your prosperity.”
In his closing remarks, Pastor Adeboye reminded the graduates of the importance of staying focused and not succumbing to worldly distractions. He urged them to uphold the principles of faith and integrity instilled in them during their time at Redeemer’s University.
As the ceremony concluded, Pastor Adeboye expressed his gratitude for the special graduation event and extended his heartfelt congratulations to each of the graduates, leaving them with a message of faith, hope, and commitment to their alma mater and to God.
