Ganduje, Ubah, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, APC Leaders Hold Closed-Door Meeting in Abuja

Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and key chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), are currently engaged in a confidential meeting at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja.

Present at the closed-door session are the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Minister of Women Affairs Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, Anambra APC chairman Chief Basil Ejidike, and APC’s Deputy National Organising Secretary Nze Chidi Duru.

This meeting assumes critical importance amidst recent declarations by the APC to strengthen its foothold in Abia and Enugu States in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

While the exact agenda remains undisclosed, insider sources suggest that the emergency gathering has been convened to endorse Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as the APC’s gubernatorial candidate for the next electoral cycle.

Senator Ubah, who recently defected to the APC from the Young Progressive Party in October 2023, justified his move citing irreconcilable internal conflicts within his former party.

“I understand the ruling party has been seeking a heavyweight politician to wrest power from the APGA government in Anambra and may have settled for Senator Ifeanyi Ubah,” a source close to the meeting revealed.
