FULL LIST: Tinubu Appoints New NALDA CEO, Aides for Livestock Development, Senate Matters

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointments of key officials, including a new Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA), along with new aides on livestock development and senate matters. The appointments were disclosed in separate statements issued on Saturday by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale.

 

Full List of Appointees:

 

Mr. Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo

Position: Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA)

Background: Engineer and community and social development expert

 

Idris Ajimobi

Position: Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development

Office: Office of the President

 

Senator Bashir Lado Mohammed

Position: Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters

Office: Office of the President

Background: Former senator (Kano Central) and ex-director-general of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP)

These appointments are part of President Tinubu’s broader strategy to foster development and stability across various sectors in Nigeria. Adebayo is expected to lead NALDA in enhancing agricultural land development, while Ajimobi’s role focuses on leveraging Nigeria’s agricultural potential, particularly in animal husbandry, to drive sustainable economic growth and resolve conflicts between farmers and herders. Mohammed is anticipated to enhance the synergy between the Executive and the Legislature, improving overall government performance.
