FULL LIST: President Tinubu Makes 41 New Appointments to Federal Education Institutions
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a new round of appointments to governing councils across a broad range of federal universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. The latest list includes individuals drawn from different states of the federation, reflecting a continued effort to fill existing vacancies and enhance the administrative leadership of tertiary institutions nationwide.
Among the institutions and newly appointed members are Hon. Chidi Nwogu (Imo) for African Aviation and Aerospace University, Abuja; Dr. Folashade Mulikat Kareem (Kwara) for the University of Jos, Plateau State; and Dipe Olusina Adeniyi (Lagos) for the Federal University of Technology, Ikot-Abasi in Akwa Ibom State. Others include Akanimo Umoh (Akwa Ibom) at the Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa State; Mr. Babatunde Usman Jinadu (Lagos) at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi State; and Chijioke Paul Okeifufe (Enugu) at the Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State.
The list also includes Hon. Babatunde Olokun (Ogun) and Hon. Isah Ambaka (Nasarawa) at the Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State; Dr. Olusegun Ategbole (Ondo) at the Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State; Hon. Isa Song (Adamawa) and Hon. Bernard Miko (Rivers) at the Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State; and Mr. Muyideen Balogun (Ogun) at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State.
Hon. Mayegun Yomi (Lagos) joins the Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru, Kebbi State, while Hon. Abbas Braimah (Edo) has been appointed to the Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State. Dr. Adebimpe Adebajo (Ondo) will serve on the council of the Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa State, and Hon. Bawa Bwari (Niger) will serve at the Nigeria Arabic Language Village, Borno State.
Appointments continue with Hon. Bello Bagudu (Kebbi) and Hon. Nasarawa Mani (Katsina) at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Katsina; Hon. Shehu Kagara (Kaduna) at the Federal Polytechnic Isuochi, Abia State; and Dr. Francis Ogbise (Bayelsa) at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State. Hon. Almajiri Geidam (Yobe) has been named to the Federal Polytechnic Monguno, Borno State, while Rahila Ilegbodu (Taraba) takes a seat at the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, Delta State.
Other appointees include Hon. Shehu Lambu (Kano) at the National Institute of Construction Technology, Edo State; Hon. Yusuf Bello Mai Adua (Sokoto) at the Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo, Gombe State; Saleh Mohammed (Jigawa) at Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure; Hon. Adekola Aliu (Osun) at the Federal Polytechnic, Daura, Katsina State; and Waidi Olajire Ayinla (Osun) at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State.
Further appointments include Hon. Hashimu Abdullahi (Sokoto) at the Federal Polytechnic, N’yak, Plateau State; Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar At Ningi (Bauchi) at the Federal Polytechnic, Bali, Taraba State; and Ibrahim Abba Geidam (Yobe) at the Federal College of Education, Gwoza, Borno State.
Mohammed Nura (Kebbi) has been appointed to the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State; Hon. Abdulkadir Usman Global (Kaduna) to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Isu, Ebonyi State; Hon. Usman Balkore (Sokoto) to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Ekiadolor, Edo State; and Hon. Goodluck Opiah (Imo) to the Federal College of Education, Odugbo, Benue State.
In Rivers State, Hon. Bassey Etim (Akwa Ibom), Hon. Chris Eta (Cross River), and Hon. Shuaib Yahaya (Katsina) will serve at the Federal College of Education, Omoku. Hon. Sani M. Anka (Zamfara) joins the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, while Hon. Yusuf Dikko (Jigawa) has been appointed to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Keana, Nasarawa State. Hon. Deacon Taiye (Kwara) will serve at the Federal College of Education, Ilawe, Ekiti State, and Hon. Isa Lawal Doro (Katsina) at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, Delta State.
All appointments take immediate effect, according to the official statement from the presidency.
