Full List: Newly Promoted Police DIGs Assigned Portfolios
The eight Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) recently decorated have been assigned portfolios within the Nigeria Police Force.
Police sources confirmed that the postings were approved by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, shortly after the officers received their new ranks on Monday.
During the decoration ceremony, Disu urged the DIGs to demonstrate courage and decisiveness in carrying out their duties, stressing that the new rank carries significant responsibility.
According to sources, the assignments were made in line with each officer’s professional experience and areas of competence.
DIG Zachariah Fera Achinyan has been deployed to the Legal Services Department, while DIG Zango Ibrahim Baba will oversee Research and Planning. DIG Isyaku Mohammed has been posted to the Training and Development Department.
DIG Margaret Agebe Ochalla will head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), and DIG Mohammed Abdul Sulaiman has been assigned to Finance and Accounts.
DIG Kenechukwu Onwuemelie will supervise the Force Intelligence Department (FID), DIG Fayoade Adegoke will lead the Information and Communication Technology Department, and DIG Umar Shehu Nadada has been posted to the Operations Department.
The postings take immediate effect.
