Former Oyo State Governor, Alao-Akala is dead
Adebayo Alao-Akala, former governor of Oyo state, is dead.
He passed on Wednesday, aged 71.
The News of his demise was made known by the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Dr Olatunde Abdluazeez.
Alao-Akala was born on June 3, 1950 in Ogbomosho.
Alao-Akala was a former police officer and a former Deputy Governor to Chief Rashidi Ladoja.
He became governor of Oyo state from 2007 to 2011 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Details of where and how he died are still not confirmed.
