Pastor Ghandi Olaoye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) based in the United States, has resigned his position as lead Pastor in the church, in a bid to become the traditional ruler of Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
Pastor Olaoye holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labour relations.
He was an entrepreneur before becoming a pastor in 1992.
Having being a Christian faithful for well over three decades, It is still unknown, if as the Soun of Ogbomoso, Olaoye will jettison the Christian faith to observe traditional rites as a King.
Mr Olaoye would however not be the first Redeem Christian Church of God pastor to ascend a traditional throne.
Oba Kehinde Olugbenle who was also a pastor in the RCCG was made the Olu of Ilaro, Ogun State in April 2012.
