FG Renames N-Power, Announces Commencement of Allowance Backlog Payments
The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled plans to begin disbursing the long-awaited nine-month backlog of payments to N-Power beneficiaries. This announcement was made on Monday by Akindele Egbuwalo, the National Programme Manager of the N-Power initiative. The government has also decided to rebrand the popular program, now naming it the “Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme (RHJCP).”
According to Mr. Egbuwalo, the payments will be made in installments, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the funds they are owed. Notably, the funds required for this payment have been successfully recovered from the existing payment service providers, ensuring a smoother and more efficient disbursement process.
A statement issued by Jamaluddeen Kabir, the National Communication Manager of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), confirmed that these crucial developments were revealed during a meeting between Mr. Egbuwalo and a group of N-Power beneficiaries. It is expected that these changes and the commitment to clearing the backlog will bring renewed hope and financial relief to the program’s beneficiaries across the nation. The Federal Government’s dedication to this endeavor is indeed a step forward in empowering Nigerian youth and promoting job creation.
