Engr Doherty congratulates the Engr Akinsola led Caretaker Committee and the newly inaugurated LG and Ward Chairmen, calls for Peace and Patience
Engr Adedeji Doherty the leader of the Unity Freedom group of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State has congratulated all the newly inaugurated Local Government and Ward Chairmen he also called on all well meaning loyal members of the Party PDP in Lagos State to ensure Peace reigns within the party.
He also congratulated the Engr Akinsola led Caretaker Committee, for successfully hosting the Inauguration of the party structures, while also giving them thumbs up for the good job done so far, particularly in the aspect of ensuring that the party is in good stead going forward.
He however pointed out that though there are some Local Government Areas with controversies and disputes, going by the petitions submitted to the outgoing NWC executive committee and the Southwest Leader, Gov Seyi Makinde.
He however urged all concerned who believe they have been shortchanged in one form or the other to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign pending the desired solutions which the Leader in the Southwest has promised to work on.
He further assured aggrieved persons that the party reconciliation and resolution machinery as enshrined in the constitution ably led by the Senator Iyorchia Ayu led NWC, is already in place to adequately address all issues fairly, while Gov Seyi Makinde has promised to compensate those that might be aggrieved after the necessary adjustments have been made.
Engr Doherty reiterated that the issues are also being attended to by leaders in the State, southwest and National anchored by His Excellency, former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja who is also the Deputy National Chairman South, as the party in the state cannot be allowed to go through any legal tussles that may emanate from the Local Government disputes.
Engr Doherty while further pledging his support to the Dr Iyorchia Ayu led NWC, urged them to give the issues as it concerns the petitions from the various Local Government Areas in the State an urgent look while they continue to forge ahead in their quest to elevate the party, by conducting a free, fair and peaceful state Congress in the next couple of weeks.
Engr Doherty, seized the opportunity to further wish all the incoming legally confirmed ward and Local Government executives a successful and peaceful tenure, while also pleading with the Elders of the party to work with the Newly inaugurated NWC to create a more peaceful atmosphere within the party in the State.
