Engr Adedeji Doherty thanks all, for a successful tenure as Chairman Lagos State PDP

The outgoing Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Lagos State Chapter has expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed in one way or the other towards the success of his two year tenure.

He also seized the opportunity to advice the elders of the party in the state to ensure that the state elective congress scheduled for Saturday 16th, October is free, fair and credible.

He further adviced that the Youths should be given ample opportunities as they represent the future of the party.

His released statement read:

“On behalf of my humble self and my Executive Committee, I would like to thank the Almighty God and the Entire membership of the Peoples Democratic Party Lagos State Chapter for their Support, Prayers, Tolerance, Patience and Economic Endurance during the 2 years we administered our dear party in Lagos State.”

“These two years can be described as a period spiced with Blessings and Sadness.”

“Sadness for the fact that a few of our members in the Executive Committee who started with us didn’t finish with us. May their Gentle souls Rest In Perfect Peace Amen.”

“And Blessings, that we did achieve the following feats:

Independence, Maturity, Sincerity of purpose as a party, Coherence as a team and Mutual Love for one another as we went through the various laid land mines and hurdles created by certain distractors.”

“Our prayer going forward would be that the incoming Executives would not go through this same challenges.
These challenges tend to be more distractive than progressive.”

“We also pray that these distractors would learn to be guided by the Party constitution and the fear of God as they join the New Executive Committee members in achieving their laid out goals and aspirations.”

“I would like to place it on record again, that I Engr Adedeji Doherty, would not be putting myself forward for any office at the State, Zone or the National levels at this point and time for peace to reign in our dear party.”

“I would like to thank my loved ones and various sympathizers who see me worthy of serving the party at the National level.”

“I would however, continue to remain a worthy Supporter, Servant and Loyal member of our Dear Party, the “Peoples Democratic Party.”

“My Leaders, On behalf of the Out going Executive Committee, my immediate family and my humble self I thank you all and wish the various aspirants Goodluck as they vie for the various State Offices tomorrow the 16th of October 2021.”

“I would like to offer a word or two of advice to our Elders in the party!

(1) Please let this New Executive Committee emerge through a free, fair and credible Election.
This would help create a strong and committed team.

(2) Please give the Next Generation a chance to be the Architect of their own fortune and Destiny.

“The future of the party is in the hands of the Youths, we must allow them to make their mistakes while they have the opportunity to be advised and corrected by the Elders and Leaders in their various Local Government.”

“Finally, the funding of the party must be a collective mission and not one that is solely saddled on the shoulders of the Executive members.”
