EndBadGovernance Protesters Hold Prayer Service in Jos for Divine Intervention
Protesters in Jos, Plateau State, converged on Old Airport Roundabout Road on Sunday to hold a prayer service as part of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest, which started on Thursday. The event saw a large turnout of Christian and Muslim leaders, along with former Minister of Sports Solomon Dalung, according to The Punch.
Waving Nigerian flags, the protesters blocked the road, causing drivers to seek alternative routes. The participants emphasized the importance of the prayer service, expressing their hope for divine intervention to tackle Nigeria’s governance challenges.
Philip Madaki, who arrived at 7:30 am for the service, remarked, “We believe God has not abandoned Nigeria. By adding a church service to our protest, we seek divine influence on our leaders to improve the current dire situation caused by poor governance and harsh policies.”
