Ekwunife Calls for Unity, Compassion, and Responsible Leadership at Christmas
Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion, and responsible leadership during the Christmas season. In a Yuletide message released on December 25, 2025 by her media aide, Tony Ezike, the Senator called on leaders to prioritize public welfare, praised security agencies for their sacrifices, and encouraged Nigerians to support the less privileged in the spirit of peace and national progress.

Sen. Ekwunife Calls for Unity, Compassion at Christmas
Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, has called on Nigerians to embrace national unity, compassion, and responsible leadership as Christians across the country celebrate the Christmas season.
In her Yuletide message, the Senator described Christmas as a sacred period that reinforces enduring values of love, sacrifice, humility, and hope. She urged Nigerians to remain resilient and united in the face of prevailing challenges, expressing optimism that collective commitment and shared purpose will foster lasting peace and national progress.
Senator Ekwunife also called on leaders at all levels of government to draw inspiration from the true essence of Christmas by placing the welfare of the people above personal or political interests. According to her, leadership is a sacred trust that must be exercised with integrity, accountability, empathy, and a genuine commitment to service.
The Senator commended Nigeria’s security agencies for their courage, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication to maintaining peace and stability across the nation. She offered prayers for their continued protection, strength, and success in the discharge of their duties.
She further felicitated Christians on the celebration of Christmas and acknowledged religious leaders across all faiths for their vital role in promoting peace, tolerance, and harmonious coexistence in the country.
Senator Ekwunife urged Nigerians to extend love and support to the less privileged during the festive season and beyond, stressing the need for collective action in building a just, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
