Eid-el-Fitr: Engr. Eric Anyamene Felicitates Muslims in Idemili, Calls for Peaceful Coexistence and Continued Acts of Charity
Engr. Eric Nnamdi Anyamene has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Idemili North and South and across the country as they mark the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, which signifies the end of Ramadan.
In a message made available through his media office, Engr. Anyamene described the period as one that offers an opportunity for reflection, renewal of faith, and deeper commitment to values that strengthen society.
He noted that the lessons of Ramadan—discipline, sacrifice, compassion, and selflessness—should not end with the fasting season but should continue to guide personal conduct and community relations.
According to him, “Eid-el-Fitr is not only a moment of celebration but also a reminder of the virtues that hold us together as a people. The discipline, patience, and generosity demonstrated during Ramadan are values that should reflect in our daily lives.”
He urged residents of Idemili to sustain peaceful coexistence across religious and ethnic lines, emphasizing that harmony among communities remains essential for development and stability.
Engr. Anyamene also encouraged acts of kindness and support for the less privileged, noting that the spirit of giving associated with Ramadan should continue beyond the festive period. He stressed that building a stronger society requires consistent compassion and a shared sense of responsibility toward one another.
“Peaceful coexistence is not optional; it is necessary for progress. As we celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters, let us continue to show understanding, respect, and support for one another regardless of background,” he added.
He further commended Muslim faithful for their dedication throughout the fasting period and prayed that the blessings of the season bring renewed hope, unity, and prosperity to families and communities in Idemili and beyond.
Engr. Anyamene wished all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
