EFCC Arrests 15 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Enugu
In a major operation, the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 15 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud in the bustling metropolis of Enugu, Enugu State. The operation was executed on Friday, October 20, 2023, following credible intelligence about their alleged participation in cyber-related offenses.
The suspects, whose identities have been disclosed, are as follows:

- Francis Mbaeri
- Okoro Ugonna Prince

- Nlemoha Kingsley
- Ejiofor Franklin
- Chidera Peter
- Chidiebube Chukwula Peter
- Innocent Chukwuka Peter
- Micheal Eche
These arrests were made possible thanks to the diligent work of EFCC operatives who acted on the information provided to them. In the course of the operation, various items were seized from the suspects, including 30 mobile phones, one international passport, and four laptops.
The EFCC has confirmed that the suspects will face legal proceedings once the ongoing investigations are concluded.
