The Kano state governor Abdulahi Ganduje has promised to isolate his colleague, Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike and only release him after the Edo state governorship elections are over.
He said this while addressing the press flanked by members of the Edo State APC governorship elections campaign Council who nodded in agreement.
Ganduje was appointed chairman of the Edo APC governorship elections campaign council while Wike was appointed Chairman of the Edo PDP governorship campaign Council.
The interesting thing about it is that APC does not have a single governor from the South South zone after Oshiomhole forced incumbent govermor Godwin Obaseki out of the party and into the waiting arms of the opposition PDP.
Ganduje it will be recalled notoriously won his re-election in an election laced with irregularities, violence and brazen rigging.
This seems like mission impossible for APC despite the likelihood of them deploying ‘Federal Might’ in the September elections.
The south south zone is known for proving stubborn during elections and has been traditionally a PDP dominated zone until Adams Oshiomhole won the election in ACN backed by PDP forces who worked against the emergence of an imposed candidate in 2007.
