Drunk Man sleeps off after raping 25 year old victim
A 34-year-old man, identified as Ayuba Adavo, has been arrested by the Police in Delta State for allegedly raping a 25 year old lady in Sapele.
The lady who was reported to have fled to the Police station after the incident said, the man accosted her at about 8pm on Sunday, November 7, while she was on her way home on Amagiya Road, Sapele.
She further stated that the suspect had overpowered her and dragged her to his room where he brought out a locally made gun and threatened to shoot her.
She stated that he consequently raped her.
The victim told the police that Ayuba, who was heavily drunk, then slept off after raping her.
On noticing that the suspect was fast asleep, she ran to the Sapele Police Station, where she reported the case.
The Policemen on getting to the house met him still sleeping, he was however arrested and taken away for further interrogation.
