Drama as NPA, NCDC Disagree Over New Coronavirus Cases in Nigeria
A mild drama played out late Thursday night when the Nigeria Port Authorities (NPA) took to Twitter to question some newly confirmed coronavirus cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
NCDC has tweeted that it recorded 14 confirmed cases in the country on Thursday, out of which 6 were from a vessel that arrived the country. But hours later, the NPA debunked the claims saying that no such case was confirmed by the port Health. It further tasked the NCDC to provide details of the alleged vessel that brought in the confirmed cases, the passengers list and the port where it berthed.
