Chairman of Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council PCC for Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Lagos State, Engr. Adedeji Doherty, commiserates with the Ogun PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, on the death of his mother and matriarch of the Adebutu Kessington family, Dame Caroline Oladuni Adebutu, asking him to win the forthcoming governorship election and reward his mom’s golden memory.
The death occurred of the late Dame Adebutu on Saturday, January 21, aged 80.
In his condolence message to the Adebutu family issued on his behalf by Mr. Muka Popoola, the head of DD Media Team, Engr Doherty said although God called mama at an advanced age that would seem humanly consolatory, it was yet painful because it happened when her motherly guidance and counsel were very much needed by her children and the family.
Engr. Doherty, who is also the immediate State Chairman of Lagos PDP, noted that Mama’s graceful presence would be sorely missed in few days to come when her beloved son wins the governorship election on March 11 and gets sworn in as the Governor of Ogun State on May 29.
Calling on the young Ladi Adebutu to take heart and be consoled in the fact that mama lived an evidently purposeful life, Engr. Doherty charged him not to allow the pains of the matriach’s departure to distract him from his ultimate goal of rescuing the people of Ogun State from the vice grip of the inhumane, insensitive and highly insensate APC government in the state.
Engr. Doherty charged the young Adebutu to go and win the governorship election as he prayed for his success at the polls, saying that the greatest reward to the golden memory of mama will be for him to occupy the Ogun State Government House.
Engr. Doherty said: “God has done His will and called Mama at the age and time that pleased Him. We cannot query God on that. But one thing my friend Ladi should remember and be consoled by is how proud and happy mama would be if he were to become the Ogun State governor while she was here with us. So, while I condole with the Adebutu Kessington dynasty my message to Ladi is, take heart, brace up and go ahead to win the governorship election. Your victory at the polls and you emerging the next governor of Ogun State will serve the greater memory of our dear mama and she will be happy even in death”
While wishing mama a peaceful rest, Doherty prays God should grant the Adebutu family the fortitude to bear the irredeemable loss of her death.
