Dogara Defects to APC
Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dogara, representing Bogoro/Dass/Tafewa Balewa Federal constituency in the House met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House on a Friday.
The lawmaker was led to the President’s office by the Chairman of the APC Caretaker National Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni.
Dogara had in 2018 defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on the platform he won the 2019 election. His last major assignment for the PDP was as the chairman of the Ondo state gubernatorial election screening committee.
