Delta Governor Reacts to Reports of Plan to Dump PDP for APC
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has dismissed rumors suggesting he plans to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement released yesterday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described the claims as baseless and a fabrication by opposition forces.
“Governor Oborevwori is widely accepted by well-meaning Deltans and residents. He has no reason to leave the PDP,” the statement read.
The governor urged the public to disregard the speculation, affirming his commitment to the PDP and its values.
This clarification comes amid increasing political speculation as the 2025 electoral season gains momentum.
