Controversy has trailed the distribution of the first 100,000 Covid-19 vaccines in Nigeria.
This comes days after a list surfaced showing a distribution plan. The list was criticised by many who noted the skewed distribution to favour Northern states before southern States despite date showing clearly that the prevalence was heavier in the south.
This goes clearly against the policy that was communicated which promised to take into consideration the number of cases rather than population or geographical location.

The National Centre For Disease Control had noted that though all of the states were getting less than 4,000 vaccines from the first batch, the federal government had advised that frontline workers, like those in the health and security sectors, be given priority, as well as the elderly.
But the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency has debunked all such reports stating that any distribution plan not officially announced by them should be disregarded.
