CNG Bus Explodes in Kaduna
A compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered luxury bus was severely damaged after a sudden explosion at the Lagos Garage Terminus in the Mando area of Kaduna State.
Witnesses at the scene said the blast occurred without warning, leaving the vehicle wrecked and debris spread across the busy transport hub. The explosion drew immediate attention from commuters, traders, and residents in the area.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident to secure the scene and assess the situation.
No casualties have been reported as of the time of this report, despite the extent of the damage.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the explosion. However, the incident has raised fresh concerns about the safety of CNG-powered vehicles, particularly within Nigeria’s public transport system.
Regulatory agencies are expected to begin an investigation, focusing on vehicle maintenance practices, the condition of fuel systems, and adherence to safety standards.
