Building Collapses in Nasarawa Market, Kills Three, Injures Many
A devastating building collapse in the main market of Asakio has resulted in the tragic deaths of three people. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, bringing commercial activities in the bustling market to a sudden halt.
The victims include two women and a child, according to reports from the Lafia Local Government Area. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as the old building crumbled, trapping several individuals beneath the rubble.
Rescue efforts led to the recovery of two other individuals from the debris, who were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. The exact cause of the collapse remains under investigation as authorities work to prevent such tragedies in the future.
