Bobrisky: “Vicious, Wicked, and Reckless”: Falana Responds to Allegations, Issues Ultimatum to VeryDarkMan
Renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has strongly refuted allegations made against him in a viral audio released by Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan. The claims suggest that Falana sought a presidential pardon for social media personality Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, in exchange for a sum of N10 million.
In a formal response issued through his legal representative, Taiwo Olawanle, Falana described the allegations as “vicious, wicked, and reckless,” aimed at tarnishing his reputation. He firmly denied ever having any communication with Bobrisky, let alone discussing a pardon or any other matters.
The letter addressed to VeryDarkMan demands an immediate retraction and public apology for the defamatory statements. Falana’s legal team has given the social media influencer 24 hours to comply, with the warning of legal consequences, including potential claims for damages.
“The entire publication was a vicious, wicked and reckless ploy to impugn the reputation of our client and lower him in the estimation of right-thinking members of the public. We wish to state, without any fear of contradiction, that our client has never, in his life, spoken to Bobrisky on his alleged pardon or on any matter whatsoever,” the letter stated.
Falana’s team emphasized that if VeryDarkMan fails to meet their demands, they will pursue legal remedies.
In the same viral audio, Bobrisky also alleged that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accepted N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him. However, Bobrisky took to Instagram on Wednesday to deny these claims, stating that he served his jail term and did not bribe any EFCC officers.
