Boat Capsizes in Lagos, one missing, three rescued
Reports have been received that,one person is missing after a local boat sailing along Lekki shoreline capsized on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.
The report further stated that, the boat conveying four men who were on an expedition, had capsized as a result of turbulence.
Three of the passengers were however, rescued after the mishap.
The General Manager, Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, confirmed that search was ongoing for one of the passengers of the boat.
LASWA had just recently celebrated the fact that there had not been any waterway mishap in the last 6 months.
