Armed Hoodlums Attack Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Family Residence in Kogi
In the early hours of Tuesday, April 16, unidentified armed hoodlums attacked the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the Obeiba-Ihima community, located in the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State. Eyewitnesses and intelligence sources revealed that the attackers, who were armed with cutlasses and firearms, stormed the property around 1:00 a.m., causing significant damage including smashing several windows.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, promptly reported the incident to security agencies. In response to a distress call, operatives from the Okehi Division arrived swiftly at the scene to assess the situation and secure the area. While no injuries or fatalities were reported, the attackers had fled by the time security forces arrived.
Authorities have launched a preliminary investigation, documenting the extent of the damage as they work to determine the motive behind the assault. So far, no suspects have been apprehended, and the reason for the attack remains unknown.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who currently represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has not yet issued a public statement regarding the incident.
