APC National Leaders Throw Weight Behind Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, Vow to Rescue Anambra in 2025
- Party Pledges Total Support to End Years of Failed Leadership
The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally declared its full and unwavering support for Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, the party’s governorship candidate for the November 2025 election in Anambra State.
During a high-level strategy session in Abuja, key stakeholders—including APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, the APC Governors’ Forum, Southeast APC senators, and other prominent party leaders—reaffirmed their collective commitment to securing victory for the party in Anambra. The endorsement aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to prioritize Anambra in APC’s broader political strategy.
Speaking at the event, APC leaders emphasized the urgent need to rescue Anambra from what they described as “years of directionless and oppressive governance” under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). The party’s national leadership criticized the current administration’s handling of economic development, security, and basic infrastructure, promising a new chapter for the state under APC rule.
In response, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and pledged to lead Anambra State into a new era of prosperity, development, and accountable leadership.
“I am fully committed to restoring Anambra’s economic strength. We will rebuild investor confidence, improve our ease of doing business rating, and make the state a hub for foreign direct investment once again,” Ukachukwu stated.
He further assured that no trader would face harassment under his administration, noting that small businesses are vital drivers of the local economy. He also promised aggressive reforms in infrastructure, security, education, health care, tourism, transportation, and human capital development.
“We will end the culture of brutality and extortion carried out under the guise of taxation. My government will prioritize transparency, economic growth, and the dignity of every Anambra citizen,” Ukachukwu declared.
Positioning himself as a capable, experienced, and compassionate leader, Ukachukwu called on the people of Anambra to remain hopeful and united, assuring them that he has the vision and will to make Anambra “great again.”
