Another APC Governor’s Aide Resigns, Joins ADC
Hon. Nasiru Muhammad Dan Umma, a Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor and popularly known as Katukan Kabi, has resigned from his position and defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Dan Umma, a former member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, formally communicated his resignation in a letter dated July 7, 2025, addressed to the APC Ward Chairman of Kokani South Ward in Argungu Local Government Area. In the letter, originally written in Hausa, he stated, “I have withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress and joined the African Democratic Congress,” adding that the decision was made in good faith and with the hope that it benefits all parties involved.
His move comes at a time of increasing political activity in Kebbi State, as various parties begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
