#AnambraDecides: Soludo Leads in All 21 LGAs as Collation Continues

Results from all 5,718 polling units across Anambra State show the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Professor Chukwuma Soludo, in a commanding lead in all 21 local government areas as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues the final collation process in Awka.

The exercise, which began around midnight and continued through the early hours of Sunday, is being supervised by the INEC Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edogah Omoregie. Party agents, observers, and journalists are present at the collation center as figures from each LGA are reviewed and verified.

According to the announced results so far, APGA has polled 422,664 votes across the state, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) follows with 99,445 votes. The Labour Party has 10,505 votes, and the Peoples Democratic Party trails with 1,401 votes.

Soludo’s strong performance cuts across all parts of the state, with decisive leads in key LGAs such as Aguata, Awka South, Idemili North, and Onitsha North. While jubilation has begun in some quarters, INEC has emphasized that no candidate has been officially declared winner until the final collation and formal announcement are completed.

The concluding stages of collation are expected to be finalized later today at the INEC headquarters in Awka.
