Anambra APC Officially Receives Senators Ubah, Ekwunife as New Members
Senators Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife have been formally introduced to the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, solidifying their recent defection to the party.
Senator Ubah had previously announced his departure from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to join the APC, a decision that has now been officially acknowledged in a ceremony led by Chief Basil Ejidike, the state Chairman of APC. During the event, Chief Ejidike praised the leadership qualities of President Bola Tinubu and called for increased commitment from party members.
Addressing the gathering, Ejidike discussed the potential for the APC to secure victory in Anambra State in the 2025 elections with the inclusion of the two prominent senators. He emphasized the readiness of the party in terms of manpower and resources, stating, “Year 2025 affords us yet another opportunity to contest and win Anambra State Government House. Let us, as one family, work towards achieving this goal for our party.”
Ejidike encouraged the new members, Senators Ubah and Ekwunife, to maintain their unwavering and positive humanitarian spirits, describing it as their hallmark. He assured them that the APC would provide the platform to amplify their contributions, pledging full support and cooperation in all party endeavors.
Senator Ubah, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects, declared, “The wait for APC to take Anambra has ended. APC would no longer keep quiet in Anambra, pretending that all was well when things are going wrong. APC has finally arrived in Anambra State.” This declaration marks a notable development in the political landscape of Anambra, setting the stage for the upcoming electoral dynamics.
