Anambra 2025: APC’s Ukachukwu Unveils Four-Point Agenda
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Nicholas Ukachukwu, has outlined his vision for the state ahead of the November 8 election, pledging to focus on security, electricity, healthcare, and job creation if elected.
Speaking in Awka on Sunday, Ukachukwu said Anambra’s economic potential could only be unlocked through a secure and business-friendly environment.
“Our goal is to create a peaceful and stable state where investors feel confident and industries flourish. We are coming in with a well-prepared, comprehensive plan,” he stated.
Ukachukwu pledged to tackle insecurity by addressing its root causes through job creation and youth empowerment, noting that his administration would pursue industrial development to attract young people back home.
“No society thrives without peace and stability. Within the first 90 days, we will take decisive steps to restore public confidence and promote harmony across the state,” he assured.
On power, Ukachukwu unveiled plans to harness Anambra’s natural gas reserves for electricity generation. He said the energy model would be “people-first” and community-owned to ensure sustainable industrial growth.
He also promised major improvements in healthcare, including fully equipped health centres in every community and general hospitals across all 21 local government areas.
“Healthcare is not a privilege but a right. Our administration will guarantee access to both basic and specialist healthcare services for all,” he said.
Ukachukwu further pledged to reform Anambra’s tax system by replacing multiple levies with a simplified structure to support entrepreneurs and small businesses.
According to him, his leadership would be anchored on integrity, inclusiveness, and transparency, with development tailored to the unique strengths of each community.
“I am committed to transforming Anambra into a secure, peaceful, and prosperous environment, one that inspires hope and uplifts every citizen,” he declared.
The APC candidate said he was prepared to lead with “purpose, compassion, and vision,” stressing that Anambra people deserve nothing less than honest and result-driven governance.
