Akpabio: Senator Natasha Replies Professor Mgbeke’s Allegations
Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has dismissed allegations made against her by US-based activist Dr. Sandra Duru, also known as Professor Mgbeke, describing them as unfounded and manipulated. In a statement released following a livestreamed Facebook video posted by Duru on May 1, 2025, Akpoti-Uduaghan said the content of the broadcast, including voice effects attributed to her, was entirely false and designed to serve what she called the “ulterior motives” of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The Kogi Central politician emphasized that the voiceovers allegedly featuring her were fabricated and did not result from any real interaction. She stated that the claims made in the video were deliberately doctored to discredit her.
Akpoti-Uduaghan also questioned Duru’s identity, revealing that the activist had previously operated on Facebook under the name Prof. Mgbeke. She added that she is preparing a formal response to address the allegations made in the video.
