ADC Presidential Primaries: Youths who collected $100 each from aspirant, not different from the old school – Ope Banwo

Dr Ope Banwo a Techpreneur, Attorney, Motivational Speaker and a close associate of Kingsley Moghalu has described the whole process of the ADC Presidential Primaries as a show of shame.

He castigated “so called” Youths for selling their consciences for 100 US Dollars during the primaries which brought in Dumebi Kachikwu as the flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

While reacting on his Twitter handle, Ope Banwo said “Most delegates who voted for Dumebi Kachikwu, an unknown ADC candidate, who has not shared any vision, no manifesto, no campaign, no visibility all over @MoghaluKingsley by collecting $100 each were YOUTH. Makes you wonder if Youths were really different from the old school.”

Most delegates who voted for Dumebi Kachikwu, an unknown ADC candidate who has not shared any vision, no manifesto, no campaign, no visibility at all over @MoghaluKingsley by collecting $100 each were YOUTHS. Makes you wonder if youths were really different from the old school🤷🏿‍♂️

The ADC primaries was won by Dumebi Kachikwu, the younger brother of former minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu.

He defeated Kingsley Moghalu, a former Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) deputy governor.

You would recall that Kingsley Moghalu had joined the ADC in October 2021, from the Young Progressives Party (YPP), where he was the presidential candidate in 2019.

Dumebi was declared the winner after scoring 977 votes to beat Moghalu who polled 589 votes and Chukwuka Monye who got 339 votes.

Eight other aspirants participated in the presidential primary in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
