“ADC Members Are Haters of Good Things” — Obasa Slams Opposition
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has criticised members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing them of opposing progress and spreading misinformation.
Obasa made the remarks on Saturday in Lagos during a special prayer session held to mark the 74th birthday of President Bola Tinubu.
During his address, the Speaker described the ADC as the “Aggrieved Disjointed Council,” alleging that the party has been circulating false information. He did not provide specific instances to support the claim.
He also made a veiled reference to former Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, describing an unnamed figure as a “betrayer” who had once been part of his political circle.
Obasa further questioned the track record of some opposition figures, pointing to what he described as governance failures during their time in office, including periods without commissioners or functional local government structures.
He added that he would not associate with the ADC, maintaining that the party does not reflect the interests of Nigerians.
