ADC Deputy Publicity Secretary in Imo, Ugochimereze Asuzu, Dies After Sudden Collapse
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State is in mourning following the sudden death of its Deputy Publicity Secretary, Ugochimereze Chinedu Asuzu, who reportedly slumped and passed away on Wednesday, October 1.
Confirming the incident, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, MacDonald Amadi, described Asuzu’s death as a devastating loss, praising him as a man of uncommon intellect, conviction, and service.
Asuzu, a native of Umuma Isiaku in Ideato South Local Government Area, was known for his blend of academic excellence and grassroots activism. He earned degrees in Theology and Political Science and was pursuing a doctorate at the time of his death.
Before joining the ADC, he was a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Beyond politics, he was celebrated as a loving husband, devoted father, and mentor whose influence extended across both religious and secular communities.
