In a follow up tweet he confirmed that despite the strong opposition their administration was able to achieve two levels of subsidy removal and totally deregulated AGO (diesel) before leaving office in 2007.
Nonetheless, we achieved two phases of subsidy removal of fuel and complete withdrawal of subsidy of diesel before we left office. -AA
