“A whole civilization will die tonight” — Trump issues final warning to Iran
Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning to Iran, urging immediate agreement before a Tuesday deadline and suggesting consequences if tensions continue to escalate.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated: “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” adding that he does not want that outcome but warned it could still occur if no resolution is reached.
He also referenced the possibility of political change in Iran, arguing that different leadership could shift the country toward a more constructive direction.
The statement included a warning linked to access through the Strait of Hormuz, where he said restrictions on passage by 20:00 EDT Tuesday could trigger strikes on civilian infrastructure.
The remarks come amid rising regional tensions and heightened concern over maritime security, with diplomatic efforts yet to show progress.
