65-Year-Old Pastor Killed in Osun Church, Suspect in Custody
The Celestial Church of Christ, Grace of Comfort Parish, Omitoto, in Osun State, has become the scene of a gruesome crime. Moris Fadehan, a 65-year-old pastor and head of the church, was brutally murdered on Monday around 10 am.
The suspected perpetrator, identified as Lekan Ogundipe, an assistant to the pastor, allegedly informed several individuals, including the church founder, that the pastor was engulfed in flames. This alarming revelation drew their attention to the grisly discovery inside the church premises.
Reports indicate that the lifeless body of Pastor Moris Fadehan was found partially burnt and surrounded by a pool of blood. Marks of violence on the body were evident, prompting the Osun Police Command to launch an immediate investigation into the tragic incident.
Yemisi Opalola, the Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, released a statement on Tuesday confirming the death of the pastor and the arrest of the suspected assailant at the crime scene. The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the OAU Teaching Hospitals Complex morgue for autopsy purposes.
