26-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Delta Hotel Room
A 26-year-old man identified as Ebere was found dead on the morning of Monday, June 23, in a hotel room at Midwifery Junction, Okpanam, Delta State.
According to reports, Ebere had checked into the hotel with a friend around 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. By 6 a.m. the following day, hotel staff were alerted after the friend raised the alarm upon discovering Ebere’s lifeless body on the floor of their room.
CCTV footage reportedly shows the two men arriving together at the hotel. “The CCTV shows the young man checking in with a friend. His friend said they woke up and found him dead,” a source told *Punch*.
Delta State Police Command spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, stating that the friend has been taken into custody pending the outcome of an autopsy. “The suspect will not be released until an autopsy is carried out to determine the cause of death. The hotel management reported the incident, and the body has been deposited at the morgue,” Edafe said.
Investigations are ongoing.
