2027: Only Jonathan Can Defeat Tinubu – Deji Adeyanju Claims
Lawyer and political activist Deji Adeyanju has claimed that President Bola Tinubu cannot be defeated by any Southern presidential candidate in the 2027 election—except former President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a post on his X account, Adeyanju argued that a Jonathan/Rabiu Kwankwaso ticket offers the strongest chance for the opposition to defeat Tinubu. He also suggested an alternative ticket pairing a younger Northerner with Peter Obi, the former Anambra State governor and Labour Party presidential candidate. According to him, such combinations would stand a better chance than former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom he believes lacks the appeal to attract young voters.
Adeyanju’s remarks have sparked debate across social media, drawing both support and criticism as political observers begin to speculate on potential 2027 alignments.
