2027: My Goal is to Rescue Nigeria – Kwankwaso

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has reiterated his intention to run for president in 2027 with the sole aim of rescuing Nigeria from its current economic crisis. Kwankwaso made this clear during a weekend visit to the Osun State Party Secretariat, where he emphasized the importance of strengthening state party chapters to ensure effective administration.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Osun State NNPP Chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, Kwankwaso, represented by a three-man delegation, reaffirmed the party’s focus as a leading opposition force. He expressed confidence in the NNPP’s readiness to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections and address the economic challenges facing the nation.

Kwankwaso acknowledged the struggles faced by many Nigerians, stating, “Nigerians have so far realized that the leaders we’ve had are intentionally using poverty to manipulate citizens. In 2027, they will attempt to offer crumbs, but I will not deceive them. My mission is to rescue the country from its current quagmire.”

He further emphasized the party’s efforts to mobilize support across the country, adding that the NNPP is actively equipping state secretariats and providing vehicles to enhance party operations. Despite the challenges ahead, Kwankwaso expressed optimism, noting that reports from various states, including Osun, have been encouraging.

“We are prepared for the road ahead, and we will continue working to deliver Nigerians from economic hardship,” Kwankwaso stated, reaffirming his commitment to providing a better future for the masses.
