100 level student, Uwaila Omozuwa, who was raped and killed in RCCG church in Benin finally buried
The body of 100 Level Microbiology student of the University of Benin, Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, who was raped and killed in a church in Benin was on Friday laid to rest in Benin.
Omozuwa was buried amid tears from her family and friends who were disappointed that six months after; State there was no justice for Omozuwa yet.
Omozuwa was attacked, raped and brutally murdered on the 27th of May, 2020 inside a church where she had gone to read.
Her murder provoked public anger in the streets of Benin with different groups demanding that her killers be brought to justice.
Omozuwa’s final moment began with a funeral service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Edo Province 10, Aduwawa, Benin City.
Her body was taken to Third East Cemetery were it was committed to mother earth amid tears from family and friends of late Vera Uwaila Omozuwa
