“You Have to Lose Your Home Training to Get Rich, Famous in Nigeria” – Gbemi Olateru
Popular On-Air Personality Gbemi Olateru has stirred conversations with her recent statement on the realities of attaining wealth and fame in Nigeria. She suggested that those seeking rapid success must be willing to let go of their morals and upbringing.
In a post shared on her X account, Gbemi questioned her followers about the type of success they truly desire. “If you want to be rich and famous quickly in this country, you have to lose your home training/shame/morals. Is that the kind you want, though?” she wrote.
Her comments come amid the ongoing controversy surrounding singer Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje. Sophia recently accused Burna Boy of failing to fulfill a promise to gift her a Lamborghini following their alleged one-night encounter.
Gbemi’s statement has ignited debate online, with some agreeing that shortcuts often define the entertainment industry, while others argue that success can still be achieved through hard work and integrity.
