“You Get Mind O!” — EFCC Responds to X User Who Listed Its Abuja Headquarters for Sale as a Hotel
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reacted to a social media post that listed its Abuja headquarters as a hotel on sale.
On X, a verified user, @osere_x, shared a post offering the property for N800 million, with an additional N120 million agent fee, describing it as a “HOTEL AVAILABLE” and inviting serious buyers to direct message.
The EFCC responded under the post, writing in Pidgin English: “Hmmm…. You get mind ooo,” a phrase roughly meaning “You have guts.”
The post quickly went viral, amassing 863 reposts, over 500 replies, more than 6,000 likes, and 433,000 views as of Tuesday morning. The EFCC’s response itself drew thousands of reactions, fueling further discussion online.
In a follow-up comment, @osere_x joked about the building’s identity, saying, “Na una building? I even think say na KFC,” referencing the fast-food chain.
