Woman Arrested for Robbing Boyfriend of iPhones, Bitcoins Worth N15 Million
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman for allegedly orchestrating a robbery against her boyfriend, in which three iPhones and bitcoins valued at about N15 million were stolen. According to the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspect reportedly conspired with her 22-year-old brother and another accomplice to carry out the crime.
The incident was first reported to the Okota Police Division on February 17. Following the report, police moved swiftly to apprehend the woman. Her confessional statement led to the arrest of her younger brother, who also admitted to participating in the robbery.
Mr. Hundeyin confirmed that all the stolen phones, along with N6.5 million in cash, had been recovered and properly registered with the exhibit keeper. Investigations are still ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the case.
