Woman Allegedly Attempts Su1cide by Consuming Rat Poison at Benue Market
A woman, whose identity remains unknown, allegedly attempted suicide by ingesting rat poison at Wurukum Market in Makurdi, Benue State, on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
According to eyewitness Mary David Lubem, a bystander quickly intervened and administered palm oil to the woman in an effort to ease the pain caused by the poison.
Lubem appealed to the public to show compassion and support to those who may be struggling, emphasizing the importance of kindness and timely help in such situations.
The woman was reportedly stabilized after the intervention, but further details about her condition remain unavailable. Authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
