Wike, Umahi, Tunji-Ojo, Others Head to London to Showcase Tinubu’s Achievements
Several top Nigerian officials, including Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, are heading to London to present the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration at an International Press Conference. The event, organised by the President Bola Tinubu Midterm Legacy Projects Review Committee, aims to highlight key accomplishments of the federal government to the international community.
Speaking in Abuja, the committee’s Project Internal Coordinator, Bode Adeyemi, said the conference will provide ministers and heads of government agencies with a platform to showcase the administration’s progress over the last 24 months. Also expected at the event are Gbenga Komolafe, Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission; Usman Osidi, Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria; and Zacheous Adedeji, Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
Adeyemi described the administration’s achievements as unprecedented, adding that a comprehensive record of projects has been compiled into a compendium and a digital version to be launched at the conference. He credited the dedication of ministers and agency leaders for the successes recorded so far.
Earlier, during a planning meeting, APC UK Chapter Chairman Tunde Doherty said the event would counter opposition propaganda and present a true picture of the Tinubu administration’s efforts. He cited milestones such as refinery revivals, local government autonomy, major road projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, subsidy removal, debt repayment, and reforms in infrastructure, healthcare, and the digital economy.
