“Wike is Orchestrating the Crisis in Rivers State” – Former Appointee Slams FCT Minister
Austin Tam-George, a former Commissioner for Information in Rivers State, has voiced his disappointment with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, accusing him of orchestrating political unrest in the state.
During an appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Monday, Tam-George expressed his concerns about Wike’s involvement in the ongoing crisis, suggesting that the former Rivers governor was behind the instability plaguing the state.
“I’m very disappointed in what the minister is doing. He’s the one orchestrating this. He’s the one who has set forth a process to destabilize the state,” Tam-George stated.
Tam-George, who served under Wike’s administration, urged his former boss to focus on his duties as FCT minister instead of interfering in Rivers State’s politics. He called on Wike to leave Governor Siminalayi Fubara to govern without interference.
“He’s got a clear administrative mandate in the FCT. The FCT has one of the worst public schools in Nigeria,” the former commissioner noted. “He should focus on delivering services in the FCT rather than destabilizing Rivers State.”
Tam-George concluded by warning that the people of Rivers State would resist any attempts to undermine their peace and governance.
